SUMMARY:Audit Committee Bootcamp 2026 : Elevating Audit Committee Oversight for the Modern Board
DESCRIPTION:A full day of expert insight and realistic audit committee scenarios \nAudit committees are often asked to make consequential judgements when the facts are incomplete\, and the answer is not obvious. How can members ask the right questions\, seek the right evidence\, and ensure concerns are followed through? \nJoin IDC and Camilleri Preziosi Advocates for the “Audit Committee Bootcamp 2026: Elevating Audit Committee Oversight for the Modern Board\,” a practical\, board-level programme built around discussion\, challenge and applied learning. \nThe day opens with an international keynote by Sally Orton\, followed by a panel moderated by Etienne Borg Cardona\, Chair of the IFSP Directors Chapter. Panellists include Sally Orton\, Kenneth Farrugia\, MFSA CEO\, Malcolm Falzon\, Partner at Camilleri Preziosi Advocates\, and Giancarlo Millo\, President of the Internal Audit Institute in Malta. \nThe programme then moves into four topic-and-scenario sessions covering: \n\nCyber\, AI\, technology and data governance\nFront-half reporting and narrative integrity\nInternal controls\, fraud risk\, risk management and assurance coverage\nFinancial reporting\, judgements and audit quality\n\nParticipants will work through realistic audit committee scenarios and reflect on what to ask\, what evidence to require\, what to escalate and what to minute.
